Brianna Whitrock is the founder of Whitrock Creative, a passionate memoirist with a love for helping folks tell their stories with care and vibrancy.


She is a queer Jewish author with six novels for young adults on the shelves under the name Brianna Shrum, including Kissing Ezra Holtz—And Other Things I Did For ScienceThe Liar’s Guide to the Night Sky, and Rebel Boys and Rescue Dogs – or – Things That Kiss With Teeth. Her next book, Margo Zimmerman Gets the Girl, co-written with Sara Taylor Woods, comes out from Harper Collins/Inkyard in 2023. Her novels have been published in audiobook form, in France, and in Italy, and multiple pieces of her work have been optioned for film.

She has ghostwritten numerous projects, from scientific works to children's fiction to highly emotional memoirs, and her ghostwritten projects have landed on the shelves with some of the biggest publishers in the world.

Though she focuses on business operations, memoir interview, and all nonfiction editorial oversight at this point, Brianna is open to writing select non-fiction projects, particularly if they focus on food, Judaism, queer experience, sex work, prison experience and reform, kink, or cult survival.
